Langston Pediatric Therapy

My name is Gretchen Byrd. I graduated from Illinois State University with a Master of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. I am a licensed Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist. I am a member of American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and have my Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). I provide assessment and treatment for a diverse population of children with Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorders, expressive and receptive language disorders, oral-motor delays related to feeding and speech, articulation disorders, phonological disorders, feeding disorders, Central Auditory Processing Disorders, pragmatic language/social skills delays, etc. I discuss weekly progress with parents and provide weekly home activities in order to increase patient progress across all settings, such as home, school, and clinic. I collaborate with team members, including Physical and Occupational Therapists. I provide cdo-treatment therapy with both Physical and Occupational Therapy. I have worked in a variety of settings, including private clinic, private special education school, public school, and an adult developmental center. Patient and family rapport, care, and progress are my primary areas of focus.
